On the left side of Louis van Gaal's new 3-4-1-2 formation in a wing-back capacity this season is Luke Shaw. The teenager is one of the Premier League's most-improved defenders and became the fourth-most expensive defender in world football when he signed for United from Southampton earlier this summer. Still only 19, Shaw helped the Saints maintain an incredible defensive record last season in that they boasted at one point the second-best defence in all of Europe and the left-back showed maturity beyond his years, even making it onto England manager Roy Hodgson's 23-man World Cup squad. Shaw's rating on FIFA 14 was somewhat mediocre, with EA shackling him with a score of 72. To do so again would be to ignore just how far the player has come over the last 12 months and it would be inconceivable not to significantly boost his rating. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him push the high seventies and low eighties in '15 and if that is the case, it would be entirely deserved. PREDICTED FIFA 15 RATING: 78
