Ander Herrera is Manchester United's second new signing of the summer so far, arriving from Athletic Bilbao in the same week as Luke Shaw. Where Shaw still has plenty of development yet ahead of him, Herrera represents a more seasoned pro by comparison at the age of 25 and is already close to being the finished article. Last season the former Spain U-23 international scored five La Liga goals and provided three assists for Bilbao, meaning on his own, he tallied more goals than the four United's entire midfield managed between them last term. His arrival at Old Trafford is certainly a step in the right direction as Herrera is a major upgrade on the crop of midfielders currently at Louis van Gaal's disposal - as he showed in the pre-season friendly against LA Galaxy by setting up three of his new side's seven goals. His performances for Bilbao last season coupled by his early pre-season form should warrant a rise from his rating of 79 in FIFA 14 to around the early-to-mid-eighties region in its pending sequel, and a score of about 83 would appear to be a fair refection on his recent displays. PREDICTED FIFA 15 RATING: 83
