Formula 1 2013 Korean Grand Prix – Vettel Victorious Again

Looking Ahead

Just a week separates us from one of the most fantastic circuits of the year; Suzuka. The Japanese Grand Prix is always a welcome treat as the track is just sublime, a wonderful figure of eight layout that with so many different types of corner from the double Degner curve to the four-apex Spoon corner, the fantastically fast 130R and the final slow chicane that opens perfectly onto the straight before a plunge into the high-speed first corner. A classic, flowing track the likes of which we don't have enough of on the calendar. Red Bull will look to continue their dominating form, though Webber will likely wish to just get to the end of the race without catching fire. Lotus will want to continue their renewed form and Mercedes will hope to get closer to the front again on the high speed layout. Ferrari will be looking to do all they can to stay ahead of Mercedes in the constructors championship, and McLaren will be hoping to continue their run back in the points ahead of Force India. Sauber will look to continue the great form they've had lately, and Torro Rosso will want to get back into the points with their strong high-speed package. Japan should be a great race as always, even if there's nothing worth watching at the front. Miracles do happen though, and you just never know what Suzuka can deliver. The spectacle alone makes it worth watching, as one of the prettiest circuits of the year.
