Fulham Transfer News: Paul Robinson Bid?

Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Paul Robinson is now on Fulham's wanted list after his move to Besiktas stalled.

Mail Online, Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Paul Robinson is now on Fulham's wanted list after his move to Besiktas stalled. After Blackburn failed to remain the Premier League last season after a dismal campaign, many players have signalled their intentions to move on, including Robinson. Even though the 32-year-old goalkeeper has one year left on his contract, it seems the former England goalkeeper wants to play in the Premier League no matter what. Robinson joined Ewood Park in 2008 from Tottenham for around £3.5 million and has made over 150 appearances for Blackburn. He did everything to try and keep his club from slipping into the Championship. Robinson looked set for Turkish side Besiktas, but the deal has now been put on hold, which has sparked interest from Fulham. It is unclear whether any other teams will be interested in the player now the deal with Besiktas has stalled, although Fulham are looking to snap up the deal before Besiktas can make a further move. Even though Paul Robinson would face competition from Mark Schwarzer and David Stockdale for the position, Fulham boss Martin Jol is reportedly very interested in bringing the experienced player to Craven Cottage.
