Hull 0-2 Chelsea: Premier League Player Ratings

Hull

Yannick SagboAllan McGregor: Superb one-handed stop from Oscar at close range after half an hour and later tipped over Luiz's free kick. Parried a second set piece away in second half, but then beaten twice. Hazard's strike was superb and precise, but Torres netted at the near post. 6/10. James Chester: Blocked a Hazard shot at 1-0. Subbed. 5/10. Alex Bruce: Deflected Torres shot behind after ten minutes and blocked Willian's effort moments later. Dived in before Hazard took the shot from which he scored and beaten by Torres for the second goal. 4.5/10. Curtis Davies: Superb block to deny Oscar at 1-0. Remains a clever buy by Bruce. 5.5/10. Ahmed Elmohamady: Wingback had a swerving effort well held by Cech early on and really ran at Ashley Cole at every opportunity. Charged down John Terry to make the Sagbo chance. Hull's best player today. 6.5/10. Jake Livermore: Worked Cech with long-range effort midway through first half. Later booked for foul on Torres. 5.5/10. Tom Huddlestone: Curled a free kick over late in the first half. And again after the break. 5/10. David Meyler: Good challenge on Hazard in the box during the first half. Another promising performance from the Irishman. Subbed. 5.5/10. Maynor Figueroa: Booked for fouling Hazard by the touchline. A needless foul, but redeemed himself by cutting out a Torres cross that looked for the Belgian late on. 5/10. George Boyd: Tracked back well throughout, but rarely got close enough to Sagbo to provide proper support. Subbed. 5/10. Yannick Sagbo: Good holdup play and shanked wide when Terry's clearance was charged down. Remains isolated for long spells. The sooner Bruce gets Nikica Jelavic €“ and potentially Shane Long too €“ the better. 4.5/10. Subs: Robert Koren: Played the last quarter without making much of an impression. 4.5/10. Matty Fryatt: Thrown on for final 15 minutes as Bruce went two up. Rating N/A. Stephen Quinn: Only got ten minutes. Rating N/A. Click next for Chelsea player ratings.
