For a player to make the trip across North London from Tottenham to Arsenal, and vice versa, they've got to have balls. Not just a regular set of balls either, they need to have a massive set of cojones to even think about doing such a thing because if they're not successful then they will not only be hated - which is pretty much a given considering such an audacious move - they'll also be ridiculed for the remainder of the career.
So when Tottenham's golden boy Sol Campbell decided to make the switch from White Hart Lane to Highbury, all hell broke loose. Spurs fans couldn't believe it and cursed him until they were blue in the face, while Arsenal fans simply looked on gleefully. As if the rivalry between the two needed any more fuel to the fire.
Luckily for Campbell and Arsenal though, his signing was far from a dig at arch-rivals. It was Wenger adding the one of the last remaining cogs to his machine. Not only did Campbell excel and improve his game as a centre back while playing for the squad, he also showed enough mental strength to deal with the pressure that came with the move.
Campbell was a ferocious competitor who was not only an integral part of the Arsenal team that went 49 games unbeaten but was also a key member the double-winning 2001-02 side, which featured the next person on the list...
