Fair enough bringing in the letter to try and prove that it was genuine. But JC had a tendency to add a little more than he should have each time he opened his mouth. Why did he feel the need to tell us that it was the captain's third draft because of his terrible grammar? Why would anyone care about that? Once more it brought an element of farce to a situation that looked like becoming fatal for the club come the end of the season.
