Mac only contributed one substitute appearance during the 1995/96 season before being shipped out to Everton, proving he was an integral part of Newcastle's ascension to the next level (not really, blame Warren Barton's brilliance for that). Hottiger is now Lausannes technical director, the club where he started his professional career back in 1988.
