Hucks managed to make one appearance for Newcastle's entertainers before being sold to Coventry City. The man described as an "English Legend" by American television companies after signing for San Jose Earthquakes currently runs his own charity - The Darren Huckerby Trust - and is also working with local and regional businesses on a number of things from ambassadorial roles to guest speaking. He also has a book out titled: Hucks - Through Adversity to Great Heights while also completing his coaching badges.
