1. Forwards - Jamie Vardy (LCFC) Vs Ayoze Perez (NUFC)
Now we move on to two offensive players who are coming towards the end of their first-ever campaign in the Premier League - Leicester's Jamie Vardy and Newcastle's Ayoze Perez. In 33 appearances (22 as a starter, 11 as a substitute), Perez has shown glimpses of brilliance and he has scored six times - including a memorable flick against West Bromwich Albion - although he did go a period of 1,133 minutes without netting before his goal against Swansea City last weekend. Vardy meanwhile has made 30 appearances (22 as a starter, eight as a substitute) and has scored four times, but he has contributed an impressive seven assists compared to Perez's zero. Perez averages 1.7 shots per game, with Vardy slightly less on 1.3 per match, although the Newcastle youngster has tended to find himself in advanced positions more regularly than the Leicester forward. Both are versatile, and that has seen them moved into several different positions across the frontline and attacking-midfield this season. Both players certainly have a future in the Premier League, and too much has been asked of 21-year-old Perez during his debut season on Tyneside. He looks shattered at the moment - both mentally and physically - and Vardy is really coming into his own at just the right point of the season, scoring three goals and assisting another three in his last six appearances. Verdict: Perez is without doubt the more naturally-talented player of the pair, but Vardy has been the driving force behind Leicester's positivity in recent weeks. Both could easily play together, but at the moment it would have to be Vardy who would get the nod because he is providing goals, assists and drive during the pivotal season run-in. Vardy's teammates are also scoring right now, but Perez is bearing a greater brunt of the responsibility for goals at Newcastle.
