Liverpool: 10 Best Ever Steven Gerrard Goals

1. Gerrard vs West Ham (2006)

http://youtu.be/IISJfDnOnJE There are so many incredible goals to choose from, but the greatest goal of Gerrard's career is, and will probably always be, his last-gasp wonder strike against West Ham in the 2006 FA Cup Final. A wonderful final had ebbed and flowed from start to finish- a Carragher own goal and Dean Ashton strike put the Hammer 2-0 up, Djibril Cisse and Gerrard made it 2-2 before Paul Konchesky's fluke made it 3-2- and it was looking like heartbreak for Benitez and his team. With the game drifting into stoppage time, a weary Gerrard, suffering from cramp, swung his leg at the ball 35 yards out, and his shot flew past Shaka Hislop into the net. It was an astonishing moment that no Liverpool fan will ever forget, and they went on to win on penalties, with the then 25-year-old converting his spot-kick expertly. He lifted the famous trophy aloft, safe in the knowledge that he had produced yet another match-winning performance for Liverpool.
