TEAMtalk are reporting (via CalcioInsider) that Liverpool gaffer Jürgen Klopp will bid for Bayer Leverkusen's Leon Bailey after Barcelona ruled out a move for Ousmane Dembélé this summer.

Klopp is interested in making Bailey the latest addition to a potent Anfield front line also including Mohammed Salah, Sadio Mané and Roberto Firmino. Bailey, a lightning-quick winger who scored nine goals for Leverkusen in last season's Bundesliga, would fit the bill for Liverpool's style of play.

Any move for the 20-year old Jamaican wouldn't come cheap though. Initial reports say Leverkusen would want as much as £70 million for Bailey, and TEAMtalk say Klopp is more than willing to splash the cash so he doesn't miss out again.

French international Dembélé had been one of the German's primary targets during the transfer window, but Barcelona have blocked any attempts to bring the player (who cost the Catalan club at least €105 million last summer) to the Premier League.

Although Bailey does have great potential, he wouldn't quite cause the same media stir as Dembélé should he sign on at Anfield.
