Liverpool Transfer News: Cardiff To Rival Reds For Tom Ince?

Daily Mail. The Bluebirds have agreed to meet Blackpool's £8 million asking price for the young England international, who has featured for the Three Lions at U17, U19 and U21 levels. The deal would include a guaranteed fee up front plus add-ons. However, Liverpool remain favourites to land the attacking midfielder, who is a product of their youth academy but was sold to Blackpool in 2011. The Reds have an option to match any bid for the 21-year old under the terms of his move to The Tangerines two years ago. They also have a 35% sell-on clause which means they could re-sign the youngster for an initial fee of just over £5 million. Ince enjoyed an impressive campaign in the Championship last season playing under his father and ex-Liverpool player Paul, who spent two seasons at Anfield between 1997 and 1999. The younger Ince netted 18 times in 44 overall appearances for the Seasiders, and was named Johnstone€™s Paint Young Player of the Year back in March. Meanwhile, Liverpool are closing in on the summer signings of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Simon Mignolet, Luis Alberto, Iago Aspas and Christian Atsu as manager Brendan Rodgers looks to add to the arrival of Kolo Toure from Manchester City.
