Liverpool Transfers: 10 Game-Changing Players Rodgers Must Sign In January

10. Hatem Ben Arfa

Aside from the peculiar creature that is Stuart Downing, young Sterling and low key signing Oussama Assaidi, Liverpool definitely lack that cutting edge on the wing, Manchester Utd have Nani, Young, Valencia and Chelsea have Hazard, Mata, Moses and Marin, so there's obviously a massive gulf in quality there so Liverpool have to change that in order to become a force again in the Premier League. He previously had an attitude problem apparently but that hasn't been a problem at Newcastle and he's been one of their star players since moving from Marseille. He can play behind the striker on hugging the touchline on the wing, he's got a lot of skill and pace to use against opposing defenders and although he can drift out of games sometimes he can be a genuine handful. If Liverpool added a winger of Ben Arfa's quality then you could see them really bossing games and killing teams off which is something they have consistently struggled to do in recent years. Ben Arfa is a player who probably needs a great manager to spur him on and Brendan Rodgers would have no trouble motivating someone who clearly has raw talent. What do you think Liverpool fans? Would you be happy to see any of these players brought in to Anfield? Share your own thoughts below.
