Liverpool Transfers: 10 Players Who Could Replace Raheem Sterling
7. Eziquiel Lavezzi - PSG
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuKAUQJG0PMHaving failed to back up their interest in the Argentinian hitman with an £8m move in January, Liverpool are expected to renew their pursuit of Lavezzi this summer - and what a clever signing it would be for the Merseysiders.
The 29 year-old, who made his name at Napoli having forged a quite formidable partnership with Edison Cavani, has fallen out of favour at PSG under Laurent Blanc, who would be tempted to sell his winger if the price is right. Lavezzi's age means any potential deal would be uncharacteristic of Brendan Rodgers, who has a preference of nurturing younger players and helping them reach their potential, but by signing Lavezzi, Liverpool would add essential experience to the squad which was the second youngest in the league last campaign. The Argentine forward has a career total of over 100 goals and works incredibly hard off the ball, pressing at every opportunity - an aspect of the game Liverpool boss Rodgers looks for when identifying possible targets, meaning a move for 'El Pocho' could well be in the pipeline.
