A winger with far more power and strength than Sterling, Jordon Ibe has already became a hit with Liverpool fans after a handful of fantastic performances since returning from Derby.

Liverpool striking legend John Aldridge dubbed Ibe, who has just signed a new five-year deal with the club, as the 'ideal' replacement for Sterling, who is exactly a year older.

Brendan Rodgers is also a clear believer in the England Under 20 internationals' ability, having branded the 19-year-old 'sensational' after a man of the match performance in his first Merseyside derby, where he came close to scoring a memorable winner when hitting a stinging drive off the post after a marauding dart forward.

Derby County fans, in particular, will testify that Ibe is good enough to replace Raheem Sterling. He became a key factor in Steve McClaren's team rising to the top of the Championship while on loan at the start of this season.

Operating in a wide-left role, he would constantly threaten opposing teams with his mesmerising dribbling ability, scoring five goals and providing a handful of key assists. His absence was painfully felt when recalled by Liverpool, as Derby plunged out of promotion contention and eventually, out of the play-off places.
