With
doubts circulating about the logistics of Rooney moving to London, and the city of Liverpool not too far from Manchester, it's not a stretch to envisage England's top striker making the sacrilegious hop from United to Liverpool. Such a move would make Rooney one of the most divisive figures in north-western England, as the
talented striker's boyhood club was bitter rivals Everton, and his current club is of course even fiercer enemies Manchester United. The benefits for Rooney of such a move are clear;
Liverpool isn't too far away from Manchester, he wouldn't even have to move house to play for the Merseysiders! Plus, he'd be guaranteed top dog at a top European club. Whether he'll sacrifice Champions League football for a regular Premier League striker spot is another question entirely. But Rooney is likely to go where he feels it'll benefit him the most, and if Rodgers can convince Rooney he'll play every week, and Liverpool are prepared to spend all that Suarez money in one go, it's not a stretch to imagine "Wazza" in a Liverpool shirt come late August.
