Liverpool Transfers: 10 Strikers Rodgers Must Bring To Anfield

5. Kevin Gameiro

Club: PSG In the past week or so Liverpool have been linked with the PSG striker (by CaughtOffside), who has so far struggled to secure a regular starting place under Carlo Ancelotti€™s since the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He cost the French side £9m back in the summer of 2011, from Lorient and though his form was inconsistent for good parts of the season, he did score 11 league goals for his new side before the arrival of Ibrahimovic consigned him largely to the bench - despite scoring twice in his only start this term against Sochaux. The speedy forward came to prominence after an impressive spell at Lorient, in which he scored 50 goals in 108 Ligue 1 matches, and Liverpool could do well to takea gamble on rescuing him from his back-up position in Paris. Given his inconsistent form, and lack of game time, his price may well be reasonable, and under that which PSG paid for him, but the January window is notorious for driving prices up, and everyone in the world currently knows what problems Rodgers faces in the striking department, so that might not help either.
