Current Club: Benfica Back in April, it was reported that Liverpool were interested in Benfica's Serbian superstar, and had been quoted an eye-watering £30m for the player, and it's not surprising that his current side seem so keen to keep him. The Mirror claimed then that officials from the Reds had met with the players agents, who are willing to talk about a move to the Premier League in the summer for the 20 year old forward. If that move came off - and it appears Liverpool would have to contend with fellow suitors Chelsea to make it happen - Rodgers would be adding a hugely gifted player who fits the mould of being able to impact the club's Champions League campaign as well as having the best years of his career ahead of him. And though the mooted transfer fee might be a stumbling block, at 20 Markovic can only improve in value if his development continues in the same way as it has at Benfica.
