Both Liverpool and Manchester United have been linked with a move for Asmir Begovic recently. The Bosnian is
the in-form keeper of this Premier League campaign having started every single one of Stoke's 21 Premier League games so far this season, keeping nine clean sheets in the process. Begovic is thought to top the shortlist of possible Pepe Reina replacements at Anfield, but Rodgers will likely have to compete for his signature with Sir Alex Ferguson who is also far from impressed with his own goalkeeper situation at Old Trafford. Begovic appears to have encouraged interest from his suitors by stating recently that it is "flattering" to have been linked with the likes of United and Liverpool, and statements like that could encourage a concrete offer from one or both of the Premier League heavyweights.
