3. Keisuke Honda

The versatile CSKA Moscow attacker emerged as a prime summer transfer target for Liverpool earlier this month when
news broke that contract negotiations with the Russian club had broken down. The Japanese midfielder is out of contract in the summer and Brendan Rodgers is free to approach him now to thrash out the terms of a pre-contract agreement. While Honda does not fit in with the Northern Irishman's approach of buying young English talents, the 26-year old, who would be available for nothing in the summer, represents a bargain that may be too difficult to turn down. Honda, who has 41 caps for Japan, is considered one of CSKA's best ever European exports and has scored 9 times in 22 appearances this season.
