4. Alvaro Morata
If Luis Suarez signs for Real Madrid this summer then there may be a possibility of 20-year-old Alvaro Morata moving in the opposite direction. The Spaniard starred at the under-21 European Championships in Israel this summer helping Spain win the tournament. He was also named in team of the tournament and also finished as the tournaments top scorer with four goals. Morata only made 12 appearances last season for Real Madrid and his chances of more game time would be harmed with the potential arrival of Luis Suarez. Now 20 years old, he needs to be playing regularly very soon. If another striker doesnt arrive at Real Madrid; expect Morata to get more chances. But if they do it could mean Morata will need to move elsewhere. Morata would give Liverpool another option. He is 6 foot 2, is good in the air and has good hold up play. We have seen with Andy Carroll that Rodgers doesnt favour a target man but Morata would be different. He could fit into Liverpools style effortlessly having grown up playing the Spain way which is a style Liverpool are trying to implement. Comparisons with Fernando Morientes, who failed to shine at Anfield, wouldnt put Liverpool off. At 20 Morata fits into Liverpools buying habits; buy young so there is resale value in the future.
