Liverpool Transfers: 8 Players Klopp Must Sign

It's a little surprising that Liverpool haven't yet moved for Ryan Bertrand - partly because they need left-back to replace the flaky Alberto Moreno, but mainly because Southampton are practically the Reds' unofficial feeder team.

Bertrand is, fore-mostly, a solid defender who would offer much-needed balance to Liverpool's left side, which became a problem area last season as teams began to cotton onto the fact that James Milner wasn't really a proper full-back.

The England international has seen his stock rise since leaving Chelsea for regular Premier League football on the south coast, and a move to one of the country's top sides looks finally to be on the cards.

City are reportedly sniffing round, but Liverpool - whose full-back requirements are less demanding than those of Pep Guardiola - would perhaps represent a more suitable fit.
