Liverpool Transfers: Ranking Brendan Rodgers's Signings From Worst To Best

2. Iago Aspas

Iago Aspas has gone straight into the first team at Liverpool since his £9 million move from Celta Vigo. The 26-year-old had already excelled in Spain, scoring 23 goals in 35 appearances for Celta in the 2011-12 campaign and firing them into La Liga, where he scored 12 times in 33 appearances in his final season at the club. And he's already looking lively at Anfield, making his competitive debut against Stoke and getting an assist in the 1-0 win on August 17. If he can replicate his form at Celta, where he scored 50 goals across 153 games, Aspas could quite easily prove to be Liverpool's signing of the summer, an assertion that is supported by the fact he was voted the Segunda División's Best Forward for 2011€“12.
