7. Alexis Sanchez
Similarly to Gameiro, Sanchez has been disappointed by a lack of opportunity at Barcelona since his big money move from Udinese at the end of the 2010/11 season. Less than two months ago the Chilean international looked set for a move back to Italy -
either to Napoli and Juventus but recently came out to
La Vanguardia, stating that he is no longer interested in returning to Italy and wants to improve as a footballer at Barcelona. In spite of this, several Premier League clubs feel that the Catalan club will be interested in off-loading Sanchez in the summer.
Manchester United have only joined Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal in the race for Sanchez recently, but a move to Old Trafford is unlikely for a proud forward looking for consistent game time. It is safe to assume that European football is a pre-requisite of Sanchez so a move to Liverpool seems unlikely. However, the appealing nature of regular starts in Europes most competitive league might be enough to lure Sanchez to Anfield if they can afford him.
