10. Robbie Fowler vs Aston Villa - 1995/96
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzEJid1eoZ0 Robbie Fowler was at the absolute peak of his powers at this point in his Liverpool career, and was well on his way to scoring 36 goals for the season. He and Steve McManaman tore Aston Villa to shreds on this particular afternoon in 1996, with the Reds 3-0 up with just eight minutes played. The scoreline stayed that way until the end. Fowler's goal was easily the best of the bunch, and undoubtedly the best at Anfield that season. His exquisite turn and nutmeg on former, and future, Reds teammate Steven Staunton outlined the striker's brilliant natural ability and eye for the spectacular, while his finish from 30 yards was sensational. Despite being thought of as a true Liverpool legend, you just wonder how good Fowler would have been were it not for injuries. There has not been a more natural English finisher in the Premier Legaue era, and that includes Alan Shearer, Michael Owen and Ian Wright. Roy Evans' side would end up finishing third in the Premier League that season, behind Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United and Kevin Keegan's Newcastle, and Fowler finished second to Shearer in the top scorers charts.
