City looked formidable at home prior to their clash with Chelsea having put together an unbroken sequence of 11 wins out of 11 at Etihad Stadium since the start of the season. No English side had ever won here this term before Jose Mourinho's side became the first to leave with all three points and City rarely looked like losing in their own backyard. Watford put their flawless home record through its paces on January 25 when Fernando Forestieri and Troy Deeney put City 2-0 down in the FA Cup, but the Citizens fought back to win. There was no such fight-back here and while Watford showed glimpses that this City side could be beaten at home, Chelsea proved it by holding onto a 1-0 win. This could have a psychological blow in the title race, with clubs perhaps coming here in weeks to come a little less in awe of City and with the belief they can get something. The Citizens are not the indestructible machine we thought they were and this may not be the last time we see the visitors leave the Etihad with the spoils.
