Man City 3-1 Everton: 5 Observations From The Game

Manchester City and Everton fought to a 3-1 result today. While in many people's eyes it was an expected victory for the Citizens, there was a lot more to this seemingly comprehensive result than meets the eye. Indeed, while it's always a case of to the victor the spoils, real life is more complicated than such clichés. While City did look extremely impressive, there are still several niggles they need to iron out if they are to achieve the consistency which has so far eluded Manuel Pellegrini's men. Similarly, while Everton will be travelling back to Merseyside with their first defeat of the campaign, the fact still remains that the green shoots of recovery are present and correct at Roberto Martinez's project. Just one game can tell you a lot about the state of a side, so with this in mind, here's 5 observations from the action at the Etihad.
