Man City 3-1 Everton: 5 Observations From The Game
2. Manchester City In Bad Kompany
The most disconcerting sight of the day was seeing Mnchester City captain Vincent Kompany limp off the field after only 35 minutes of play. It's difficult to explain the impact of the Belgian international on the team, but the god's honest truth is that the Citizens just don't look the same without the club icon bossing the backline. The proof was in the pudding today while Matija Nastasic looked competent in Kompany's place, Pellegrini's ide occasionally found themselves massively caught out and cut open. But for Everton's lack of edge today, they might have paid the price. So if today's injury later confirmed as a muscle problem by Manuel Pellegrini is worse than originally anticipated, the blue half of Manchester are going to find themselves in a fraught defensive position for the next few games, which include a must-win fixture against CSKA Moscow and a run-in with Jose Mourinho's Chelsea.
