4. Forgive Tevez - He's Too Good To Leave Out
Carlos Tevez has become symbolic as the modern footballer - a money-driven, uncaring mercenary, a traitor, a blasphemous and unwelcome figure. To some, anyway. Manchester City fans seemed to have their hearts healed of the scars left by Tevez's careless blows, his leaves of absence, his words of hate towards the city, the club, and the ultimate disrespect of refusing to play for a manager that needed him. All is forgiven, perhaps. They will never let him into their hearts again, but he can set foot in their house, score goals for them, run towards them, and they will still scream his name. Yes, Tevez was the good and bad story of last season as his unauthorised leave of absence gave way to an vital return, with the Argentine's creative nous and 4 league goals providing a visible spark that helped City clinch the title away from their red brothers. A player like him should be starting every game, but Mancini has refrained from using Tevez at times where he may have made a difference - against Real Madrid in the Champions League, and in the Manchester Derby recently. Tevez is City's top scorer with 8 league goals, but he also adds industry and creativity outside of the main statistics, constantly hassling defenders and picking out teammates intelligently - providing the start and finish of many attacking moves. Not only that, but Tevez has a brilliant understanding with fellow Argentine forward Sergio Aguero, with the duo scoring 20 goals in the last 13 occasions they have started together.
