Manchester City have been an unstoppable force this season with Manuel Pellegrini's side surging up to second in the Premier League after a tricky start to their campaign. They have put a series of unlikely defeats - like the one suffered at Cardiff - and patchy away form behind them to brush off all-comers by sometimes-resounding margins. Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham have all felt the full brunt of City's attacking might in recent months with the 2011-12 English champions on course for a historic quadruple. Pellegrini has been optimistic of his side's chances of completing the unprecedented capture of the Premier League, League Cup, FA Cup and Champions League, and has good reason to be.
