Man City Transfers: 10 DREAM Signings Manuel Pellegrini Could Make
9. Eliaquim Mangala
With Vincent Kompany struggling for fitness and consistence this season, Manuel Pellegrini is lining up a big move for Porto's Eliaquim Mangala. Kompany has been in and out of the side in recent times, missing six of his side's Premier League games between October and December with a thigh problem. And City struggled in his absence, not looking quite the same team without their defensive talisman in the ranks. Any further injury to Kompany could prove costly in a title race when defeats become important and Pellegrini wants Mangala to give his side some strength in depth. A move however is looking unlikely in spite of a £38 million bid from City, as the Porto star is cautious about moving clubs and risking instability in a World Cup year. A move may yet be salvaged however, especially if Pellegrini increases the bidding.
