Man City Transfers: 10 DREAM Signings Manuel Pellegrini Could Make
6. Pepe
Yet another centre-back Manchester City have been linked with this winter is Pepe. Today, news surfaced that City have had a £25 million bid for the Real Madrid defender rejected, with Manuel Pellegrini keen on the Portugal international. The Chilean has named the 30-year-old on his list of replacements for Joleon Lescott while Pepe could be a cheaper alternative to the aforementioned Eliaquim Mangala, who carried a £40 million market value. Pellegrini could go back in for the Porto player, or may instead opt to make a fresh bid for Pepe, who would certainly appear to represent the most likely of the two options. Pepe is known as a goal-scoring centre-half having netted three times for Madrid this season, and would carry a threat from set-pieces.
