Man City Transfers: 10 DREAM Signings Manuel Pellegrini Could Make
7. Daniel Agger
With City looking to provide more cover for, and also a new defensive partner for Vincent Kompany, a move for Daniel Agger could also be on the cards this month. The Citizens have a long-standing interest in the Liverpool centre-half and had enquiries into the player's availability rejected in 2012. But now, the Sky Blues have made a fresh approach for the Denmark international, who is also being chased by Barcelona. City know they need extra cover at centre-back with Joleon Lescott set to move on while Matija Nastasi and Martín Demichelis have rarely impressed when asked to deputise for Kompany. Agger, currently sidelined with a short-term calf injury, has also fallen down the pecking order at Anfield with Mamadou Sakho, Martin Skrtel and Kolo Toure preferred by Brendan Rodgers. As such, the 29-year-old has been limited to just 11 Premier League appearances this season, and may be seeking one last career move to gain more playing time.
