Man City Transfers: 10 Players Pep Guardiola Could Bring To Etihad

10. Ilkay Gundogan (Borussia Dortmund)

Were it not for injuries, Borussia Dortmund midfielder who have already moved on to a different league, having long been admired by top clubs in both England and Spain. However, while injuries may have curtailed that slightly, there's still every chance this summer could be the one he finally makes a move. In truth, there are some other midfield options who may be more of a priority, but Gundogan will surely be an option if those top targets everyone is after go elsewhere. He's a good passer of the ball, comfortable sitting deep or getting forward when needed, and at 25-years-old is still young enough to develop his game, in particular with coaching from Guardiola. He'll have just a year left on his contract come the summer, so may also be something of a cheaper alternative to a few other potential targets.
