Man City Transfers: 10 Players Screwed By Citizens’ Ludicrous Transfer Policies
3. Scott Sinclair
After impressing for Swansea City, Scott Sinclair moved to Manchester City in 2012. However, he has scarcely played for the Citizens since making the move from Wales and is another example of a young player not being given a chance. The winger only made three starts among a meagre 15 appearances for the his new club during his debut season, and In total, he played a minuscule 190 minutes of league football, which equates to less than three full games. Still at City, Sinclair spent his second season at City on loan at West Brom for the entirety of the 2013-14 campaign, and it is unclear whether the winger factors into manager Manuel Pellegrini's long-term plans this season. With an embarrassment of midfield riches at the Chilean's disposal, including Samir Nasri and David Silva, Sinclair's first-team opportunities are again expected to be minimal. City's existing transfer policy of 'spend, spend spend' means young players are never going to get a chance to shine at Etihad Stadium and unless that take a step back from signing expensive, big name signings, players such as Sinclair are never going to survive at the club.
