A player currently out of favour in Manchester in Jack Rodwell and he could well be on his way out today on a loan. It was reported earlier in the window that Rodwell would be going nowhere but the rumours refused to die down and have taken a dramatic twist in the last hour. Spanish giants Athletico Madrid are interested in the midfielder and could table a bid in the dying stages of this transfer window. If Manchester City capture Fernando from Porto then expect Athletico to swoop, while they could still make a move either way and the right price could tempt City.
