Man City Transfers: 5 Deals That Definitely Won’t Happen

5. Jack Butland

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aya-8qT0M74 Reports surfaced last August that Manchester City wanted to add more home-grown English talent to their ranks following the arrivals of Jack Rodwell and Scott Sinclair. City keper Joe Hart is already England number 1 but the club were reportedly interested in building up a reserve of England's finest to give them a solid core for the future. Among the names of English players said to be on the radar of the Champion's was Birmingham City's Jack Butland, and it has become common knowledge recently that the Championship side are in dire financial straits and would struggle to resist any monetary offer for their shot stopper. But Butland joining City would be a huge mistake and must surely never happen. The promising young keeper would go from getting a guaranteed start every week to wasting away on the bench and deputising for Hart in Capital One Cup games. The move would stunt his career and set him back years. Souce(s): Daily Mail
