3. Robert Lewandowski
Another option is Borussia Dortmund's want-away striker Robert Lewandowski, who is in high demand this summer. The Polish international has been tracked by the likes of City and derby rivals Manchester United along with Bayern Munich over the last few months while the Citizens
held informal talks with the player's agent during last summer's European Championships. Lewandowski has been heavily tipped to join his current club's Bundesliga rivals Bayern but could be denied a move to the Allianz Arena after Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke flat-out refused to do business with the Champions League winners. With just one year remaining on his contract, he is practically guaranteed to move on this summer and, intriguingly, City could have a trump card up their sleeves in the race for the 24-year old's signature. Pellegrini's side are willing to offer Edin Dzeko, a target for the German outfit, as a makeweight in the deal and Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp conceded that Dzeko is a player he would "think about" should he become available.
