1. Edinson Cavani
By far City's number one transfer target this summer however is Edinson Cavani. The Citizens could be bidding farewell to one South American this summer and welcoming in another with reports that the Sky Blues
are favourites to land the Uruguayan international, though there is also strong interest from Premier League rivals Chelsea as well as Real Madrid. Cavani is perhaps the most sought after player on this summer's transfer market and his scorching goal tally of 29 Serie A goals in 34 appearances and 38 in 43 overall games for Napoli last season has made him one of the hottest commodities in world football. The former Palermo ace has netted 104 goals in 138 appearances since moving to the Stadio San Paolo in 2010 and if ever there was a ready-made replacement for Tevez, Cavani is it. He has a tireless work-rate just like the Apache and also has a keen eye for goal. He has a release clause of £53 million built into his contract at Napoli and to think the Italian club signed him for an initial 5 million back in 2010 is incredible.
