4. Stevan Jovetic
Adam Davy/EMPICS SportMontenegro forward Stevan Jovetic arrived at Manchester City high on confidence last year, and two prolific seasons with Fiorentina had City fans chomping at the bit to see him. Sadly though, Jovetic failed to deliver on his £22 million price tag, - yet another high profile import failure for the English league. Some of the world's best have cracked under the pressure of a big transfer: Shevchenko, Robinho and Soldado, and Jovetic certainly won't be the last player who fails to live up to his potential. Jovetic differs from those three listed players in that he has never been given a fair shot: the blistering form of Aguero, Dzeko and hot spells from Negredo have put the former Partizan striker at a disadvantage from the get go, and his chances to put a run together in the first team have been slim to absolutely none. This summer will be pivotal for Jovetic, and we should discover whether he is content with rare cup appearances and a bit-part role or whether he will leave a healthy salary behind in search of regular playing time? In many ways, we will get to discover the measure of the man. To his credit Jovetic has shone bright enough throughout his career to warrant a place amongst Europe's elite clubs, and a return to Italy is the bookmakers' favourite destination.
