Man City Transfers: 5 Potential Replacements For Yaya Toure

1. Arturo Vidal

Alternatively City could run neighbours United's noses in it by signing one of their biggest targets this summer - Arturo Vidal. Vidal has been at the centre of rumours linking him with a move to Old Trafford for the past month but so far nothing has come of the transfer speculation. Nicknamed Il Guerriero - The Warrior - Vidal is a rock solid central midfielder known for his strength and power. A box-to-box midfielder, the Chilean contributes to both defence and attack, making surging runs through the heart of midfield in a similar fashion to Yaya Toure. Four years younger than the Ivorian, Vidal is seen as his heir apparent, and has also earned comparisons to Roy Keane. Like Toure, Vidal is also a goal-scoring midfielder and netted 18 goals for current club Juventus last season, meaning he would be able to pick up the slack should Yaya leave Etihad Stadium this summer. With Juve in disarray following the resignation of Antonio Conte, now might be the perfect time to strike, and gatecrash United's attempt to sign the World Cup star. Do you think Yaya Toure will leave this summer and if so, who should City sign as his replacement? Let us know in the comment section, below.
