Man City Transfers: 5 Potential Replacements For Yaya Toure
2. Paul Pogba
According to the Metro, City are looking into the possibility of signing former Manchester United star Paul Pogba this summer should they lose Yaya Toure. Pogba spent three years with the Citizens' deadly rivals but left Old Trafford for Juventus to seek out more regular first team opportunities in 2012. Since then the Frenchman has shone for the Italian champions and has gone on to become one of Europe's most sought-after midfielders and command a market value of about £40 million. City are keeping a watchful eye on Pogba with Juventus in the midst of internal strife following the resignation of manager Antonio Conte yesterday. It remains to be seen if Pogba will follow Conte out of the Turin giants this summer and if he does he would be a perfect signing for City. A dynamic, goalscoring box-to-box midfielder, he would seamlessly fill any void left by Toure while it would also give the Citizens a chance to get one over on the Red Devils with a PR victory similar to the one they enjoyed when they landed Carlos Tevez in 2009.
