Man United News: Federico Macheda Out On Loan Again?

Manchester United youngster Federico Macheda is set for another loan move away from Old Trafford.

The Mail Online. The Italian began his career with Lazio before United snapped him up as a sixteen year old in 2008, but he has managed only 33 appearances so far in between loan spells at Sampdoria and Queens Park Rangers. In spite of Wayne Rooney's expected two month layoff through injury, opportunities are again expected to come few and far between for the 21 year old this season, after the summer signing of Robin van Persie and the good form of Danny Welbeck. Javier Hernandez and Dimitar Berbatov are also ahead of him in the pecking order, and Besiktas and Bursaspor are said to be interested in the youngster's services, with the latter willing to offer a £1 million loan fee. The Italian made headlines at Old Trafford on the 5th April 2009. With United 2€“1 down heading into the final third of a crucial Premier League game against Aston Villa, Macheda replaced Nani just after the hour mark. After Cristiano Ronaldo equalised for United in the 80th minute, Macheda won the match with a curling effort from just inside the penalty area in the third minute of injury time. Thanks to this result, United would go on to win the Premier League that year.
