Man Utd: 10 Reasons Why Giggs-Van Gaal Relationship Will End In Tears

A marriage made in hell?

So the worst kept secret in football has now been confirmed. Louis van Gaal is the new manager of Manchester United and Ryan Giggs will be his assistant. While the Welshman may claim to be €œthrilled€ at being the Dutchman€™s number two, the pairing may not necessarily be a match made in heaven. To give you a flavour of van Gaal€™s personality, here are some of his more famous quotes. "I am who I am: confident, arrogant, dominant, honest, hard-working and innovative.€ "Congratulations on signing the best coach in the world." "I am the way I am and I've not got an easy-going manner. But I'm not going to change my personality just because some people want me to.€ Bold words indeed and Giggs will have to tread carefully if he is to get on with the former Bayern Munich and Barcelona boss. He is incredibly driven and confident in his beliefs, to extent that it maybe tough for Giggs to have his say on affairs. Zlatan once described van Gaal as a €œdictator€ and, while Giggs will be eager to learn, having been manager for four matches he could struggle in coming to terms with his new role of assistant. There is also the small matter of the fact that it is not yet certain whether the Class of €™92 will be part of the set-up at United. It adds up to what could be an intriguing partnership between the two. Who knows, it could be a perfect combination? But if we look at things prior to next season, United supporters may need to prepare themselves for some fireworks.
