2. Comebacks And Other Things
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vV1d4lwhVm8 It is now almost customary for United to make spectacular comebacks and Ferguson is often quoted as saying United never make things easy for themselves. Their ability to comeback is now almost mythical. There are too many comebacks to name here, but some of my favourites have been coming back from 3-0 against Sheffield Wednesday in the 1993-94 season and the 4-3 against Manchester City when Michael Owen grabbed the winner deep into Fergie Time. There are other standout memories over the years I want to mention including Gary Pallister scoring a free kick against Blackburn in 1993, the look of joy on his face will always remain a favourite moment. A special mention too for Lee Sharpe, such a frustrating figure but very talented; here was a player who seemed to want to party away his talent. Sharpe was great in the early days of Uniteds dominance and my greatest memory of him was his goals in the black away kit against Aston Villa in 1993, followed up with his customary Sharpe shoe shuffle celebration. He was another Fergie bargain buy from Torquay and played a lot of games in the early title wins. Honourable mentions go to Ruud van Nistelrooy, Jaap Stam, Edwin Van Der Sar, Andy Cole, Dwight Yorke, Brian McClair, Berbatov, Laurent Blanc (only joking) and Dennis Irwin. All significant contributors to Fergies 13 titles.
