This was an incredible achievement and done so playing a dynamic brand of football not seen in Europe since. It was a crazy season, characterised by epic matches. The games that particularly stand out are the 3-2 champion€™s league semi final victory over Juventus, the final against Bayern and the FA Cup semi-final against Arsenal, where Giggs scored one of his most famous goals. The treble winning side was a thrilling combination of movement, wing-play and counter-attacking insanity. The stand out players in this side were the massively underrated Dennis Irwin, still ploughing a reliable furrow at left back (he started at left back in the Champions League Final), Keane, Scholes, Schmeichel and Stam. Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke were a free scoring dream team of clever movement and clinical finishing and of course they had their secret weapon€.
