Man Utd 2-1 Arsenal - 5 Things The Gunners Learned

2. Giroud Needs Better Service

Giroud's strengths are in the air, and the Arsenal flanks need to provide him with more support. Grioud's headed goal against Reading was sublime, and he has made it clear that he is a fantastic header of the ball. Arsenal's wingers have not been particularly renown for their crossing abilities in recent years, and that is exactly what Giroud needs to flourish as a Gunner. Bacary Sagna was the only player recognized for his crossing abilities on Saturday, and it made it easy for the United midfield and defense to deny Giroud of any half decent opportunities in the air. Andre Santos was awfully sub par with his crossing, and Valencia and Young were successful in bombing down the field and doing exactly what Arsenal's flanks should have been doing in order to win the game.
