1. 2-1? More Like 8-2 All Over Again
The scoreline of 2-1 masked the true gap between the two sides on Saturday. United looked like they were certain to score every time they came forward, and the scoreline could easily have been 4-1 or 5-1 had it not been for some suspect finishing from the United offense, most notably Valencia. Santi Carzola only scored in the 4th minute of injury time because United had already switched off and decided to let Arsenal back into the game. That's how confident United was throughout the entire match, and although the shambolic Gunners were able to save face, the game hurt much more than the infamous 8-2 drubbing because we had no excuses the blame the result on. Arsenal must learn to step their game up on important occasions such as these. Otherwise, we suffer the danger of becoming an impotent team on the fringe of becoming irrelevant.
