5. Sir Alex Ferguson
It's unlikely, but hey, let's not rule anything out.
Sir Alan Sugar,
Mark Bosnich and
Arsene Wenger have all urged the venerable Scot to perform what would be a dramatic u-turn on his retirement plans and return to the beautiful game. Ferguson called time on his managerial career after 26 years in charge of United this summer and former professionals, managers and fans alike are urging the legendary coach to step back into the dugout. Ferguson won 38 major trophies at Old Trafford between 1986 and 2013 to become one of the most decorated managers of all time, and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes we haven't seen the last of the fiery 71-year-old on the touchlines. You cannot rule it completely out. It is difficult to take a drug for 30 years and suddenly get rid of it, the Frenchman replied when asked if he could envisage his old rival coming out of retirement.
In six months we will know more about that.
